Sad news and so young. I seem to remember us signing him on the basis that he was the fastest player some coach had ever seen. As a kid I found this very exciting. He only scored belters for us. RIP

Sad news, remember him well. FYP have put this up on FB . . . Andrejs Rubins, scorer of the first incredible goal vs Liverpool in the first leg of the League Cup in 2001, has sadly and unexpectedly passed away. He was just 43 years old. There is a video of his goal V L'pool, but, i don't know how to get onto this thread(if someone would be so kind). Nothing on the club's website(yet).
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Oh dear this is really sad.. He had ridiculous pace and and an absolute hammer of a left foot.. Always remembered for that THAT goal against Liverpool!!
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |
