Notice invasion(s). It was not only us, although this is of course the most reported occasion on which Everton stayed up by defeating us. A whipped up, hostile atmosphere at Everton home games notably by Lampard himself, resulting in delays and ultimately pitch invasions. What do others think?

10 point deduction and 3 home games behind closed doors would fit the bill.

The 10 point deduction should be applied to the points total for the season that the offence occurred in - they should be relegated instead of having the opportunity to play their way out of it in the coming season. Originally posted by CPFC1965

Charged with 2 breaches of rule E20 in our game. As this was not the first time, should be behind closed doors for at least 1 game. Lampard should also be charged for his comments about pitch invasions. Why has it taken so long?

Everton's legal team have come up with their defence. It wasn't an invasion, it's a special operation.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Unfortunately, on occasions stadiums are awash with temulent reprobates and we have seen the intoxicated 'Herd' move with alacrity on to the field of play disgracing themselves with violent and anti-social behaviour. How are the clubs to blame for the deplorable actions of those who deem it is acceptable to swarm on to the hallowed turf and engage in acts of wanton violence ?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Didn't we have that back in the late 8o's thanks to Looserpool? Fencing was erected at English football grounds to contain the kind of hooliganism that blighted the game in the 1970s and 80s, though this was got rid of due to the Hillsborough Disaster. Ken Bates was determined to fight hooliganism via the 12-volt wires at the top of his fences. But in May, the GLC Public Services Committee took an official vote on the matter; the 7-2 verdict against Bates seemingly put an end to this matter. Edited by Willo (12 Jul 2022 2.33pm)
