After 44 long days since the end of last season, the wait for Fantasy Premier League to return is finally over! FPL is gearing up for the new season and is now ready to accept entries for the 2022/23 campaign. Any interested HOLers are welcome to join the Holmesdaleship head-to-head league using the code below.
The league will operate on a round robin basis throughout the whole of the 2022/23 Premier League season, which is due to kick-off with our own Crystal Palace taking on Arsenal at Selhurst Park on the evening of Friday, 5 August 2022. No knockout rounds will be involved in the league. All of the FPL rules, including full details on how points are scored by each player, can be found on the official Premier League website via the above link. Entry is as always FREE of charge, and though there is no prize money at stake there are still bragging rights to be won. There will also be three points up for grabs every week, so you will always have at least something to play for from the start of the season right to the very end. Whether you have played before or are thinking about giving it a go for the first time, it would be fantastic to have you on board. While any HOL members are welcome to join though, please keep in mind that places are limited to only 20, so be sure to enter your team as soon as you can to avoid missing out. Hi Eden, thank you for the message. I'm sorry you have had some difficulty with the code. I have checked it again though and it is definitely correct (cr8d1u). Did you copy and paste the code in, or type it in manually? In case it might help, the fifth character is a number '1' rather than a lower case 'L'. The two characters look very similar in certain fonts so it could be easy to mistake one for the other. I'd be happy to change the code if you'd like me to, but would you be able to give it one more go first? Several other users have been able to sign in successfully with it, but if you're still having problems then we'll try something else. Have you had similar issues with joining any other leagues? I think I have worked out the issue Dan - I have not yet created my team and was trying to register for the league! Do you know whether the team can be changed wholesale after registering, before the season starts, or will I not be able to make changes? Cheers

Pleased you were able to register your team and sign in to the league. As you may know by now, yes, you can make unlimited wholesale changes to your squad for the time being up until the deadline for Gameweek 1, which this year is 18:30 BST on Friday, 5 August 2022. I've made loads of changes already myself! Not only that, but from what I read on the FPL site, it seems you'll also be allowed to make unlimited changes during the break for the World Cup in November and December. Obviously that hasn't happened before and will likely be for this season only. You will also have two Wildcard chips, one to use in each half of the season, allowing you to make unlimited changes to your squad without any point deductions. A further Free Hit chip will allow you to do the same for one Gameweek only, before your squad reverts back to the one you had before. Otherwise though, you'll be allowed one free transfer per Gameweek once the season has started. You can make more changes if you like, but each additional transfer will cost you four Gameweek points. You can also carry over your free transfer to the following Gameweek if you prefer, but not to the one after that. You won't be able to accrue any further free transfers without using them. Welcome to the league then Eden, and I hope you enjoy taking part!

We now have all 20 FPL teams in place for this season. Thanks to all of you who have joined, and apologies to those who missed out. After its success last season though, I have set up a second head-to-head league for anyone who would like to join and play the head-to-head format. There will be no limit on numbers this time, and the top eight teams at the end of Gameweek 35 will enter a playoff against each oehter to reach a final in Gameweek 38 to determine the winner. Other than the playoff rounds and numbers involved, all the same rules will apply.
