England not good enough again today. Had all the ball, a player red carded for Australia too. England looked comfortable but couldn't get the final pass, the final move etc. I can't stand Eddie Jones now - he's ruining England rugby currently. There's no spark, there's a lack of impetus. He has to go.

Not to exploit the red card was very poor. Jones has run his course.

It's one of those ones where it just takes a while to sink in, then you can start getting a bit angry about it. England are a better team than Australia currently but you wouldn't know it from just how absolutely clueless England have looked. There are some genuinely brilliant England players being wasted on crash ball and constant mauling or kicking. There is no freedom or creativity - snuffed out.

It feels as though they have a set of NFL - style plays they've learned and they're either afraid or unable to be creative outside those drills.
Of course it's a structured game but they don't have to be 15 Gregor Townsends just be able to adapt when required.
Crash ball is a tactic but not the only one available.

Yes, it's too predictable and too defendable. Also worrying how the defensive structure seems to have gone. England have shipped 80 odd points the last two games. Basically rubbish in defense and attack. No hope to turn it round by world cup

Wales are always unlucky when they lose. This time they probably were a bit unlucky. I didn't think much of the reffing in any of the matches. Some very whistle happy refs these days and certainly some very debatable decisions.

Now Scotland look poor. A bad day for the home nations.

I agree.. I think Jones is great I mean he's a bit of a legend in rugby terms but I think he's run his course with England now.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I like Jones too & I think that he was good for English rugby at the time he was appointed but several years have passed since then & the appointment has probably run its course, time for a new direction for both EJ & the Team.

I pretty much stopped watching Rugby Union after the last World Cup. Too many stoppages for so many technical offences, and matches frequently determined at the whim of the referee.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

It's been happening to me too. I get frustrated at the niggly refs and the silly new rules all the time. The refs definitely have either favourites or an agenda is the only explanation I can find for the lack of common sense.
For instance, rugby league - the ref might glance up at the replay, even that is pretty rare, and just award the try. Every try in Union goes to the TMO and that takes 5 minutes. Not to mention every scrum being reset - particularly when one side is playing the clock.
It's ruining what was a decent game. I don't trust World Rugby to fix it either. A fun fact is that World Rugby is based in Dublin.

Half the England games are crash ball followed by kick tennis with interludes for penalties and yellow cards. I'm heavily backing either France (I reckon the pick) or New Zealand (playing fast and countering well) for the World Cup. I reckon England have good players but not a good system anymore.
Hilariously, Ireland have English coaches and are probably better than the sum of their parts. I would double England's chances for the World Cup if they appointed O'Gara. Learnt his trade and doing wonders in France. Also said anyone would want the England job, rather than moaning at England - which is the Irish norm. That is one tough and knowledgeable guy who knows the players too.
