I see we're playing them preseason. Absolutely gutted that it's at home as Montpellier is my favourite city I've ever visited. Been there many many times and visited the ground once preseason and the groundsman let me and two friends through the gates to have a quick look at the pitch and stadium. Introduced some friends to the city once and they absolutely loved it. Always look out for their results and have bought a few shirts over the years including last seasons. Anyway I have reminisced enough and bored you senseless but have two questions.
Firstly - I'd like to think that Sakho will get a good reception at Selhurst, he was a little bit marmite with us but hopefully we'll give him a warm welcome do you think ?
Secondly I was absolutely gutted that the game is home rather than away. Given our lack of European football (one intertoto experience against Turkish opposition is all that I can think of) do you think that one preseason game on the continent would be good for our supporters. Unlike Australia or the Asia it would be a great opportunity to watch Palace and combine it with a trip to soak up some sun whilst remaining affordable - thoughts ?

"It's ok postman , he'll lick you to death" "That isn't really that comforting , I still end up dead !!"

Didn't we beat Inter at the San Siro many moons ago?

Anyway, my gripe about this, is that the club in their release, stated that those who couldn't attend should buy PalaceTV+ & then lower down in 'smaller' letters, stated that due to broadcasting restrictions, nobody in the UK could watch it, bit sneaky if you ask me(tho, don't).

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Sakho deserves nothing less than warm applause for helping to keep us up for two seasons at least, being more entertaining than some Palace sides put together and breaking lines from the back better than 95% of Palace CBs before him. So underappreciated while he was here when we made his loan permanent

I think he was a master in his position. shame the injuries limited his game time tbh.

Mamadou Sakho played 64 games for Palace after his £24 million transfer from Liverpool add the four years salary min. £4pa x 4 = £16, he cost £40m or £625,000 per game. Not the sort of business Palace should ever do again.

I agree entirely however that doesn’t correlate with my still unaffected love for Mama Sakho and admiration for his ability. Unfortunately it was not to last but I think he looked a class above the rest on loan.

Still disappointed nobody came up with a song to the tune of Pixie Lott’s ‘mama do’.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Even if Sakho did cost £40m over his time at Palace, the rewards for staying up just that one first season he was here (with all those off the line clearances etc) would have been over £100m so overall we got our moneys worth in my opinion

He won't play. Sakho will of course be injured!
