Wondering what he has in mind for next season. He'll want to try and be a part of Southgate's squad at the World Cup which is unlikely to be possible at Chelsea given the lack of guaranteed game time from Tuchel.

My take on it is that he'll pre-season with Chelsea, realize he's likely to be a bench warmer and look for a move. It'll be later in the window so choices will be limited. I doubt he'll be back in a Palace shirt though.

I have it on good authority that we are still trying to get him back. I think it really will depend on who they sign. personally, our best chance is likely to be in January as by then he will know if his future is at Chelsea.

However much Conor enjoyed and embraced his season with Palace, I rather suspect that he will be looking at taking a step up. Where that will take him though I am not sure. The general consensus seems to be that he won't fit into the Chelsea first team set up. Likewise, would he be assured of a place with any of the other "big 6" clubs. If not, where does that leave him? I could see the likes of West Ham, Villa or Newcastle coming in with a bid and he may chance his arm at one of these three, seeing them as sides on the up. Otherwise, if he stays in the PL, I cant really see any other clubs that would necessarily be a preferable option to Palace ( putting aside any money considerations).
