Sacked . . . [Link]

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Crazy, I have always rated Dyche makes bricks without straw. Where do Burnley think they can get better? They have the smallest budget in the PL and Dyche has had them punching well above their weight.

I hope they go down now.

Never saw that coming. It’ll be interesting where he pops up next.

In dog beers I’ve only had one.

Big Sam and Pardew are bookies favourites to replace him.

The only thing I wonder is if he did or said something to pi$$ off the hierarchy. With the money they spend they're daft to be sacking him if he hasn't done anything wrong. You look at their team and you basically have 7 Championship players, a great GK, two solid centre-backs and one good winger. They don't have a PL team, let alone squad. Burnley is by a million miles the worst job in the PL so it'll be interesting to see who ends up there. Dyche won't be out of work for long.

Must be more to this than we know as it seems a strange decision with 8 games to go plus they would have to pay him compo as well..
Can't deny the wonderful job he has done at Burnley with such limited resources but it was always going to catch up with them in the end.

Good luck Sean. Always liked him and he will find another job no problem

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

They either have someone lined up or something has been said or has happened that’s forced their hand. He ate someone’s pie or something

Would think Lampard is a relieved man. Probably good ad sealed the 3 relegation places.
A great character and reckon by next season he’ll be back in a job. Great manager, who makes the most of what he’s team has and a good sense of humour.

I can't make up my mind about this. It's a brave decision, if nothing else.

Dyche is a legend in Burnley and you can't fault what he's done over almost 10 years there but the truth is, they've not got going this season and perhaps his voice has just run out of road when it comes to making an impact. It happens. Burnley simply hasn't been Burnley-like this year. And that's a very long time in one place. Maybe it's the right time for a change for all parties; Burnley and Dyche.

Of course, it's a risk but if Dyche has lost the ability to motivate (which appears to be the case), you might as well make the change while there are still enough games left to save yourselves. Only strange thing is not doing it earlier this week.

Dyche will be back somewhere quickly. I don't think this does his reputation any harm at all. And honestly, right now I think BFS, a fresh voice, would have a better chance of keeping them up than carrying on as they were (which is not to say I think they will stay up). Plus, don't you just know Sam would love to send Everton down after the way they treated him.

I don't think I would go so far as to say this is a great move but I can understand it. If they hire Pardew, they're gone. If they hire BFS, they've got a chance.

Sydenham by birth. Selhurst by the Grace of God.

The words 'final', 'nail' and 'coffin' spring to mind.

Good luck to them, finding another manager who'll find PL success there on a budget lower then some pub fruit machine winnings I've had since his appointment.

On the plus side, I had a quiet and resentful admiration for Dyche as I am sure many would. With him gone now, I can wholeheartedly hate Burnley as I've always yearned to do and rejoice at their relegation(s)... could well be plural in a few years time.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!
