Here is an update regarding train disruptions. Those looking to go Marylebone-Wembley Stadium should note the Chiltern railways disruption

If you're able to get to Farringdon fairly easily, you can change over to the tube platform (1 min walk) and get the met line to Wembley Park (6 stops).

Probably a better option than London bridge / Jubilee due to the amount of stops involved once on the underground.

Contrary to the below, the MET LINE is RUNNING on Sunday. Just check train times as they will be every 15 and 30 mins.

You might want to check out the service status for the Metropolitan line according to TFL they are running a special service until the summer. I saw something about all the trains have a problem ?

Pity we haven't been given the 100 coaches that the FA allowed the Northern cry-babies to have buckshee so that THEY can get to Wembley because there are no trains from Manchester or Liverpool to London. they could of course gone Trans-Pennine to Leeds/Doncaster & got trains to Kings X.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Very helpful of you to have looked that up.

Do you also have the times for southbound trains to Wembley Stadium, which is what the OP (midlands-based) will need?

YT, all he needs to do is go on the Chiltern Trains website, put in Sunday 17th April, departure station and destination station and time of travel, he will then get a list of services. Hope that helps.

As the OP lives in Hinckley, Chiltern Trains are no use he needs to travel as follows:
Depart Hinckley 10.28 arrive Leicester 10.48.
Depart Leicester 11.44 arrive London St Pancras 12.55
then Hammersmith and City line to Baker Street change onto Bakerloo line (one stop) to Marylebone.
Depart Marylebone 13.53 arrive Wembley Stadium 14.02.
Hope he reads this and is of use.
Or drive to Birmingham and go from there.

Good work.

One possible 'tweak' from me would be to walk from Baker Street to Marylebone rather than to change underground lines. As I recall it from my commuting days, the Hammersmith & City line is just below street level whereas the Bakerloo line is deep, deep down, with quite a long walk just to get to it. By the time you've done that and then up again at Marylebone, you might as well walk, then enjoy a pint or two in 'The Railway Tavern'!
