Will Smith punches Chris Rock on stage at the Oscars for a joke about his wife.....I guess it was a punchline. Smith must be pretty mixed up. You are going to have an open marriage and have other guys shag your wife yet what offends you is when a comedian cracks a joke about her appearance? Pretty mixed up. Let's hope that Chris Rock didn't shag his wife because if Will Smith is going to slap every dude who's shagged his wife....his goddamn arm is going to fall off.

These actors are taught to throw/take “pretend” punches, done for tv? If not, Will Smith is a bigger t** than I thought Edited by Spiderman (28 Mar 2022 7.08am)

whole thing was completely scripted publicity stunt. Non-story Proven by the fact the 'punch' did nothing. Edited by Forest Hillbilly (28 Mar 2022 8.21am)

It 'appears' fake on account that the Oscars show itself is so false that anything real has more of a sense of unreality to it than the bullsh!t. Winning an Oscar for Best Actor is a crowning career achievement so Will Smith is hardly going to agree to some kind of pointless SNL level slap incident directly before picking up his Oscar as it completely overshadows the win and evaporates his carefully crafted public image. He is clearly troubled by his wife's behaviour despite acting like he's fine with it and rather than addressing that he slaps a comedian in the face for making a mild joke. Credit to Chris Rock for keeping his cool. His professionalism further highlight the absurdity of Smith's violence. "I want to be a vessel of love" "God wants me to defend my family". Psycho . He didn't even apologise to Chris Rock. Disgusting behaviour.

It's good to see that all that new diversity at the Oscars has raised the tone. No one cares about these awards any more. They are now just another opportunity to demonstrate wokeness. It's all fixed.

No one cares about these awards any more. I am surprised that anyone has ever cared for them as most of the people that watch (in the UK at least) haven't seen any of the films and probably don't go to the cinema anyway. The only interesting part of any of these ceremonies are the photographs of the young actresses with their breasts hanging out of their dresses

The Oscars have finally hit Rock bottom. The, so called, ceremony celebrating the finest of the film makers art is now just a parody of it's intended purpose. No more glamorous film stars, no more artistic directors and, very few, well scripted films these days. The whole thing just seems a tad tacky.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Some very poignant comments here. Always nice to see the birds dressed up however the Oscars is and will forever be an exercise in self-indulgence for that crowd to provide 'entertainment' to those facing severe cerebral challenges in an event better scripted than American Wrestling. It amazes me that we are living through a superpower waging war in Europe, a global pandemic which has decimated countless lives and T.Mitchell making his senior England debut yet people are still interested in this non-event b****cks. Tis lunacy I tells ya, sheer lunacy.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
