He is certainly doing a far better job than Putin. The troops he has sent into Ukraine would be beaten by the Boy Scouts,they are conscripts who are desperate not to be there.Russia is (after Sanctions) an economic mess. If China is your only friend then you really are in trouble they are the epitome of the unreliable boyfriend managing to say yes, no and maybe in every utterance.I would take Biden over Boris any day, he is too old to party and blurts out the truth rather than lie compulsively.

No sane person would give Russian lies house room, remember this started as a military drill. On Friday they said they would now concentrate on the Donbas region (east) and the following day bombed Lviv in the far west.

When I saw the title, I knew this was likely to be a Biden hate-fest from the usual suspects. An opportunity to repeat their prejudices. So I won't join in. It's pointless trying to change fixed minds.

What I will say is that the USA is doing well at the moment, showing determination and leadership. It has galvanised Nato and coordinated the economic responses to Putin.

That is such a refreshing change to what might have been anticipated from the previous administration. How much of that is down to Biden personally is an open question, but I sense he listens to advice, rather than just follows his own instincts. We no longer have a one-man band just banging a great big drum.

The statement about Putin not remaining in power was either very clever, or a gaff. It looks like a gaff on the surface, as it allows Putin to present the USA as the aggressors to the Russians and the WH walk back won't be heard there. It is though, of course, the truth, and getting it out in the open and in the minds of the Russian people could turn out to be a carefully planned apparent "gaff". So very clever! Who knows? I am not a behavioural phycologist any more than anyone else here. We won't know for a while yet.

For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally.

He's clearly not some kind of demon as American leaders tend to be painted by their opposites every administration. However that doesn't mean that he's any good at the role and the idea that he was the best choice for the job is unsettling and a further sign of a broken system.

He's interim and of course too old. At best an ok job whilst the US finds some decent politicians (good luck with that)
