Looking to plan a trip to London from the US, but only if I can get Palace tickets. Club website doesn't seem to mention when they go on sale.

2017 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Middlesboro
2018 Jan. (Sako) Palace 1 - 0 Burnley
2019 May (Batshuayi, Batshuayi, OG, Van Aanholt, Townsend) Palace 5 - 3 Bournemouth
2020 Feb. (Van Aanholt) Palace 1 - 0 Newcastle

Actually, never mind, I just saw that tickets went on sale back in late February. Looking for 2 seats in the lower half of the AW, not sure if any are left or not.

CORRECTION: I found the page for when tickets go on sale:

Hi Wilbraham413

Just in case you aren't aware, the Premier League haven't announced whether this game will be moved for TV yet. They are due to do that on April 4th (although this season they have been late in making a lot of their announcements about which games are going to be broadcast) and so that is probably why the Club isn't going to put tickets on sale until then - otherwise supporters will buy tickets only to find they can't go if the game is moved and want to return their tickets. I am a Gold Member so if you need any help getting a ticket, just send me a PM.

I hope you make it over!

FernsideEagle

Thanks, Fernside!

I'll definitely get a Gold membership, and I should be able to get 2 decent tickets to Watford. The US still requires a negative Covid test to get back into the country, but I hope they drop that before May. Worst case, I'll go to a match early in the new season in August, since we look guaranteed to stay up.

Palace/Watford doesn't seem like the type of marquee matchup they would move for the TV audience, but who knows.

It's funny how different sport ticket buying is in the US. Here, all tickets for all games of every team in every sport go on sale at the same time prior to the season. But if you buy a ticket, the game could be moved to a different date/time for TV and you just have to deal with it, or sell your ticket.

For instance, you could buy a ticket in August for an american football game Sunday at 1:00 PM outdoors in late December, and the game could be moved later on to Sunday night at 8:30 PM, when it is much much colder in northern areas, not to mention getting home well after midnight instead of early evening.

Also, 90% of US stadiums are open to the elements, so if you're watching outdoor sports, you'll be subject to the rain or snow.

On the plus side, it's legal to resell tickets on the internet sites in the US and Canada, so it's very convenient to buy/sell tickets to any game you want to attend, almost any level of seat, even at the last minute, as long as you're willing to pay a little extra for the privilege.
