Rumours that Jeff misses the cup game on Sunday through suspension, accumulation of yellow cards. Yet Vieira mentioned nothing about it in his pre-match press conference, and nothing has appeared in any of the early team news. Can anyone confirm this?

I hope he is available. Very versatile, plays where he is told to. Good tackler, runs with the ball and a great shot on him. Successive managers play him regularly, and they have better football knowledge than most of us!

a couple of the stat sites say he only has 3 bookings all season

Schlupp has been booked once in the league and twice in the cup vs Millwall and Stoke. I believe that two bookings in cup games up to and including the 6th round / QF leads to a one-match cup ban, so if my interpretation of the rules is correct he is suspended.

Actually your link is a bit confusing as it refers to yellows received in consecutive cup matches which of course Schlupp's weren't as he behaved himself vs Hartlepool. I read the consecutive thing somewhere else too, but the FA guidelines for players makes no mention of consecutive ....

No problem with Schlupp missing out. He has his moments, but Eze or Hughes for me over JS any time.

I like having JS in the side against some of the more aggressive teams & I feel that Dacouree` (cant spell) & Gordon will want to try to put it about a bit -

I'm sorry to say there's no way he should be in the Center of midfield, he shouldn't be ahead of Hughes! Every time he gets the ball it's a backwards pass. Makes one half decent run per game if that. Today he gave the ball away more than most, Vieira needs to change things otherwise we could be struggling. Bournemouth went above us today.

Has said these many times, Schlupp might be all right coming on with 15-20 minutes to go and we are chasing a goal. But he should never be in a PL starting lineup. And still, Vieira picks him game after game.
After last season I looked forward to this one with a lot of optimism, but it seems we are going backwards and looking more like a Roy H. team. If we take the Newcastle game and the last 20 minutes against Brentford into consideration.
