Have heard that Chelsea thank that getting to an away match will cost more than the £20,000.00 being allowed. They are unable to sell tickets for their home matches. The thought of Chelsea having to play matches hosted by another club - which could possibly be able to sell tickets - is interesting. Craven Cottage does spring to mind, as does The New Den.

Even that way, they cannot bring in revenue. Period.

I have often remarked to my brother at games where we are playing the top teams just how many travel in their entourage - that must cost a pretty penny - When you play the lower teams its mostly just the management , subs & medical

There was a guy on LBC yesterday who had just arrived from Asia to show his support to his beloved club.

It shouldn't cost more than £20,000 for most PL away matches. Rent or buy an old route master and make the players stay at a Travelodge. Or ask the fans to volunteer to drive the players there.
