Pat Nevin’s autobiography is quite interesting (if you like indie music as well as football) he’s a bit precious but it’s different to other players’ books.

I think therefore I play - Andrea Pirlo
Blessed - George Best

Or, if you can contain your emotion and biases..

Be careful what you wish for - Simon Jordan

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

It's not autobiography, but "Who Are Ya" by Kevin Day, Gary Lineker is well worth a read.

I downloaded Mark Bright's autobiography to my Kindle after reading good reviews on here but haven't got around to reading it yet

I can recommend "I am Zlatan". Also, "My Turn" about Johan Cruyff.

Agreed, I'd recommend this as well.

Also, the book Caught with My Pants Down and Other Tales from a Life in Hollywood, by actor, writer and Palace fan Jim Piddock, is being released on 23 March. Not a footballer's autobiography of course but might well be of interest. Just hope it comes out soon enough for your holiday!

Another non-biography, but the most interesting football book I've read, is "The Glory Game", by Hunter Davies, about a year in the life of Spurs (1972). It's a brilliant reminder for older fans and a brilliant insight for younger fans into life in the First Division 50 years ago. We know that players' incomes have rocketed, but reading that Ralph Coates wondered whether he could afford a £15,000 house, following his record-breaking transfer from Burnley, still comes as a shock.

The book is still available, and anyone who'd like to know more should google "The Glory Game by Hunter Davies - The Fighting Cock".
