Will the change of ownership at Chelsea add a new dynamic to the Gallagher situation and will the new owners be willing to sell him. How will Gallagher himself view the new owners vis a vis his future.

could be a fire sale but more likely they will hold onto good assets they already hold. However if they go into administration many football playing assets have no value as home grown.

Not so much on the talk of change theme - but I know on here we have talked of how Chelsea may be encouraged to do more with existing youngsters rather than buy ready made superstars, I was interested to see a clickbait article just couple days ago where someone was proposing that x midfielder was the answer to their problems at £x Million and that the sale would include Broja as part of the deal, indicating that nothing had changed, i.e buy your ready made success. as I say it was a clickbait article so how much of it was made up speculation your guess is as good as mine.

The vultures are gathering over Chelsea it will be interesting to see how serious RA is about selling Chelsea. Apparently he has been willing to sell for 3 years so my guess is that the buyers are hoping for a fire sale.

It must be an interesting business to try to put a value on it - I guess like many things on life its only worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it. Originally posted by Badger11

What it means for me is that the practice of loaning out vast, vast numbers of youngsters and academy prospects will probably no longer happen as it's expensive to do so, which means players like Gallagher are either going to be made first team players or moved on. My prediction is he is sold but with a huge price tag, sending him to Spammers or Everton. Time will tell if I, Mystic Smeg am correct.

I know there’s a long way too go with if’s and maybes but it would be absolutely gut wrenching for Gallagher if Palace and Chelsea met in the final and he couldn’t play. Would Chelsea show compassion, would he want to play against Chelsea, potentially it could be his last game for us.

I could be wrong, but I thought it was in the Loan Rules that a player couldn't play against the club he belongs to. I think whoever buys Chelsea will run the club in a far more financially prudent way than Abramovich. So potentially an end to the massive transfer fees and over the top wages. That should present CG with an opportunity to compete for a first team place next season. Then it's a question of whether he is successful or not.

I'm not 100% sure, but my understanding is, CG is only barred from playing against his parent club in League fixtures. Someone will Google it & correct me if I'm wrong. As an aside, remember that Abramovich did state he would NOT be recalling any loans, that means we get to keep CG(if only).
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
