In my 58 years of supporting Palace I have witnessed a number of matches when a snake on the pitch would have provided welcome entertainment.

I vaguely remember a fox on the pitch at Selhurst once. Which has also reminded me that you used to see the odd dog in the ground. Think it eventually scurried away up the corner of the Whitehorse and Arthur steps. There was someone that used to take a British Bulldog (or similar type breed) in the Whitehorse end in the early 90s.

Strangely, that was against Leicester

In bygone days there was a fervent supporter by the name of Chris Wright who used to attend games with his St Bernard dog which was adorned in Palace colours.
