I hope this is in the right thread (i'm never sure). Where will everyone be drinking before Wolves away? In birmingham?

Bit of a late reply. The Victoria is a 5 minute walk from New Street then it's half an hour back on the train to Wolves. Pubs close to the ground don't seem to like away fans.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

Also interested. Been there a few times but not for many years and had feeling there wasn't an away pub as such. Won't have the option of Birmingham unfortunately as my train goes to Shrewsbury and then into Wolverhampton so am hoping to possibly find somewhere

Is this where most people go do you know? Originally posted by topcat

Probably not. When we went there were about 20 Palace fans there, half of which were in our group. According to the Wolves website "The Bluebrick (WV10 0BA) is the designated away fans pubs. They have tables both indoors and outdoors and serve food, however supporters wishing to order food are advised to call in advance to pre-order"

As above I've also found reference to the Bluebrick pub being only one which may allow away fans in. Apparently even the Wetherspoons in Wolverhampton employs doormen who check your match ticket. To be honest I've never found it a very friendly place to go on the past. Whether that's changed or not o guess I'll find out on Saturday.

As far as i can tell from friends from other clubs it isn't the friendliest. Where will you be heading to? Just don't want to travel all that way and sit in a boring pub in Birmingham for a few hours before kick off knowing palace fans are 10 minutes round the corner Originally posted by herefordeagle

In Purple Bricks bar now. Already busy. Doormen galore but all good and all friendly
