I am absolutely seething, still, an hour after the game. Am I just a bad loser? Or was there something corrupt going on today? Surely Kevin Friend and Craig Pawson should be held to account and VAR should be scrutinized? Jeeezus.

It seemed all the decisions were going to go Liverpool’s way - when Olise fell onto his neck and lay on the ground the ref waved for him to get up!

Didn’t give the penalty initially and rightly so, goes to VAR (Pawson) who bottled it and gave it back to ‘Friend’ who after the theatricals of looking at the monitor gives the pen…… because had he not and Palace score one or maybe two he would have got dogs abuse from Klopp and screwing up their title chances. His agenda from the start was to give Liverpool everything.

Standard in the game really, even with VAR that decisions more routinely go their way. Not to say it's right because it isn't, but its not unexpected especially when they take on smaller clubs.

If that performance by Friend, and VAR, which was Pawson is not held to some sort of account then there is no hope. It’s becoming almost embarrassing if you happen to be honest. Because if this sort of incompetence is acceptable then the game really is open to being manipulated under the guise of incompetence.

You are right, but we were awful in the first Half, god knows why we are so bad at the start of games
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Good post though and whilst I will acknowledge that most teams probably feel the victims of conspiracy at several points throughout the season I would think it naive to rule it out. I still feel that referees should be obliged to give interviews post match and answer questions. I for one would be far more content to listen to a referee explain his decision making or even admit error than carry on with them in a position of absolute immunity.from any scrutiny .
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Appalling ref today, came off the pitch grinning at half-time. Grinned when giving decisions against Palace. He didn’t even stay on pitch at end of game, thought they were meant to wait until players had left field of play. Absolute incompetent coward
