Forest Hillbilly in a hidey-hole 22 Jan 22 8.03am | |

"Women's safety is once again in the spotlight - and walking home at night is often when their fears are most acute. Now a telephone helpline called Strut Safe, launched in Edinburgh last year, is keeping people company when they walk home alone." (BBC website) An emotionally-charged subject, with some people no doubt having first=hand experience of being followed at night in remote places. I don't want to pish on anyone's firework, but this raises many issues for me. Secondly, if you think you're being followed, getting out your mobile phone would have several negative affects.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

I would say they should get a taxi home but considering the number of drivers that are convicted for rape maybe not. If it makes women feel safer then why not. Edited by Badger11 (22 Jan 2022 9.25am)

Not a company The police have no equivalent service and have already said women should flag down a bus Got a better solution?

A woman on her own out late at night is at more vulnerable. Stay in and make your bloke a sandwich.

And after the football "do your duty". England expects every woman to do their duty. Roughly four times a week and twice on Sunday....with added sandwiches.
