This has just popped up on London News [Link]

I had always hoped Jairo would establish himself but he has always looked a bit off the pace. I think perhaps he's perhaps just not suited to the pace and aggression of the PL. Kelly has been a bit part for ages and I'm surprised he's stayed as long as he has. He should be able to get a club in the Championship I would have thought.

I don't think either leaving would be a big loss and perhaps it might make it easier for us to do some business.

Back in the day - when there was a substitute's seat rather than a two or three row substitutes' bench (and before that, when there were no substitutes at all) - players like these would strive to play their way back into contention for a first team place in regular reserve team fixtures. Now reserve teams have long gone and in all honesty I've no idea what such fringe players now actually do for their living other than train with the players they've no hope of replacing. Like England Test cricketers, do they actually play any competitive matches?

Both Jairo and Kelly did well under Roy but both I can't see either getting many minutes unless there are lots of injuries. Kelly is in his 30s so wont command a fee but I would hope that we could get something for Riedewald.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Would like to see more of our Dutch player, so sorry to see him on his way out.

Hopefully that will give bench places to some U23 players

Football at the top level is harsh and sadly these two are drawing wages that could be used for someone else.
Kelly in particular could really help a Championship side with his experience and would probably love to play football for a change.
Jairo promises a lot but rarely delivers, although to be fair to him the lack of game time must make it tough for him to make an impression.
Both out would mean we have incoming me thinks.

If I were Kelly (!), I'd want to play more football. When he looks back on his career, he's going to reflect that he made lots of money training and sitting on the bench. Perhaps that doesn't worry him. But when someone says: 'What did you do in the War, Dad?'

Riedweld's a decent footballer who will probably feel that he spent a lot of time, when his career should have been developing, being a bit-part player.

But then, I thought Max Meyer was good, so what do I know?

The issue for both will be wages. Kelly needs to be playing and is now 4th choice at either centre or right back. Maybe a loan until his contract runs out in the summer.

Jairo's contract renewal last year was a strange one for me as he's never been a regular and was already on decent wages. He has definitely improved and had a few good performances last season but in other games he was invisible and seems to lack the discipline to hold his position. He will never be a regular under PV.

Jairo just isn’t athletic enough for modern football although he is a very good ball player. He looks like he’s just come from a Sunday league team.

I liked Kelly but only as a centre back however he is getting older and is way down the pecking order. His best run of games for us were 2/3 years ago so I think it best for him and club to move on.

I suspect that PV wants a mobile creative midfield something that Jairo just isn't suited to he's not a defensive midfielder either so thanks but time to move on.

Two squad players, but I agree that Kelly probably could have played more and was always a high level defender to have on the bench.

He's made plenty of money though so good luck to him.

They aren't likely to fit well into the management's system going forward so moves wouldn't surprise me.
