Pool's first leg against Arsenal has just been moved due to Covid. Which could play into our hands.

They are now playing the 2nd leg on the 20th with our game on the 23rd.

Granted we will also be down a few, but they will be down Salah and Mane too

Is this the same Liverpool that not long ago fielded the U23 side in a cup tie?

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

If they are a long way behind City by then they might field a stronger side for the Cup game than the League one?

Only a few days before Christmas Kilppity Klopp was complaining about other clubs calling off their games and urging the Pl not to postpone them. At the time he was sitting in Smugsville as apparently all his players are vaccinated so I'm all right jack.

Not laughing now are you Klopp.

We can only hope.

However, a couple of seasons ago I remember Man Utd coming to Selhurst missing lots of regulars - on that occasion due to injuries.

We still lost!

If I had a pound for every Palace match against "weakened opposition" that we were sure to win......

I wouldnt worry about it too much, l'pool will always invent new covid cases so they can get the game postponed till it suits them ie back to full strength.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.
