Don't know about that, but as you mentioned stand, was wondering what was going on with our new stand. Apologies if already posted, but came across link below

With a bit of luck the new stand can be built in the 6 week lull whilst the World Cup is taking place.

Yeah, dream on my friend!

OK I guess that was a comment made in jest.

If I see it in my lifetime (age 82 and counting) I will be pleasantly surprised, if not staggered.

When was your first game at Selhurst Park?

1947 when I sat on my dad's shoulders, no idea who it was against
but I got hooked immediately. Like rest of us oldies have seen many ups but mostly downs but my support never waivered and nor will it.

Johnny Byrne and John Jackson my all-time heroes !

Build costs have increased dramatically since 2018. I would expect at least a 30% increase so say £150m. Quite a lot for a few thousand extra seats.

Personally I would turn the Arthur into a single tier cantilever stand. I would make the Homesdale single tier and I would build a far simpler new main stand. Spending say £50-80 m.
That new stand although impressive will be massive and make the rest of the ground look really dated. Which it is.
Scale black take the capacity up to say 30,000. Quicker job more balanced.

NOT. Willo is a decade or so younger than Uphill
