So halfway through this season we have played 19 and got 23 points. Halfway through last season we had played 19 and got 23 points. The big difference is in goal difference however, 0 this season compared to -11 last season. I guess the other big difference is that we are actually good to watch sometimes, and have a much younger squad that can only get better. The second half of last season we played 19 and got another 21 points, but with a goal difference of -14. I am very hopeful we will do much better than that this season. So 2020/21: P 38 Points 44 GD -25 What are your predictions for 2021/22? Mine are P 38 Points 48 GD +3

Also - This season we were very close to picking up additional points against Brighton + Arsenal earlier this year - I dont remember feeling anywhere near as optimistic about the way that we were playing at any time last year

Chalk and cheese I am pleased to say. Could not bear watching any more Royball - mind-numbingly dull.

Also we dropped points this year when our performances warranted a better result whereas last season we picked up points despite our woeful performances, Additionally we managed wins this season against teams we haven't beaten in the league for some time, namely, Spurs and Everton.

Same points halfway this and the previous season, but Palace under Vieira is far more watchable. And we should really have bagged 3 points vs Brighton, Arsenal, and Leicester.

538.com modelling seems to indicate that our expected points for the second half of the season at the moment are as follows West ham 1.25 for an expected bonus of 22.07 extra points Gives us an expected point tally of 45.07. and i suspect 45 plus or minus 3 for a range of 42-48 points is a reasonable expectation for where we will finish points wise for the moment.

If we pick up 1.25 points against West Ham on Saturday I'll be happy.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |

That for me is the difference. Last year we were very fortunate on numerous occasions and it always felt like that luck would eventually run out; this season it has sometimes felt like eventually our luck will turn in our favour. It feels like Vieira has a plan and I think gradually we'll see players who don't fit his system so well being gradually moved on and replaced. If we can dig out a win against Spam then we could really focus on the FA Cup, which I'm sure most of us would love.

I guess the difference is this season I look forward to every game instead of wanting to drink bleach last season before, during and after Palace

The difference is our home form is much better which always feels better as the majority of us get to see us win.
