What's the tradition in your house? We never miss Go For Broke. You start with a pile of dosh and winner is the first person who loses it all. Great fun. Happy Christmas everyone!
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

We have a number of versions of trivial pursuit which usually come out first, my kids are 16 & 18 and a lot better educated than I was so its usually a closely fought game.

in the game my kids tend to focus on beating each other , good old sibling rivalry, I tend to be forgotten or passed off as just someone who makes up the numbers, lol

The game I mentioned in the OP is relatively short. If anyone starts to consider anything cerebral or likely to take more than an hour then us old 'uns sneak away for a crafty nap to recharge the batteries.

Inevitably one of my kids ends trivial pursuit without the result that they wanted (sad face) so then at their insistence we move on to Monopoly.

Got little ones in the family so played Cleudo the year before last. 6 of us. I was the 5th to go. Guessed it first time. My Dad didn't even get a go. Ruined board games for everyone. We're rolling out Monopoloy (my 6 year old is obsessed) and Ticket to Ride this year. Plus Monopoly Deal (card game, brilliant, even if you hate Monopoly) is always a great go-to.

I'm thinking of setting up a quiz on Alexa this year.
