Is Gerrard a definite starter then?

That’s a lot of cards in so few games, you just know he will have a stinker!

This is the bloke that did the Fulham WBA game. How he's been promoted after that I have absolutely no idea.

Highlights here for those that didn't see it, the penalty decision is particularly baffling.

Jeez - Gerrard is louder than PV so you just know he will be at it from the sidelines at the earliest opportunity!

Ok, watched your clip, can't see anything wrong in any of those decisions. Pen was correct, defender went through the back of attacker. !st red, basically last man. 2nd red, 'serious foul play' had his studs up & off the floor.

As for his promotion the EPL, its because he's been on the radar for a while &(after a probationary period) he'll be offered a full-time position with PGMOL.

Cheers for the link. Both reds were stone wall. The penalty was 50/50, possibly went through the man to get the ball, tough one to call. If they had VAR it wouldn't be conclusive enough to overturn either way.

The bloke has obviously done well to get the promotion. Looks like a young guy so I wish him well.

He might have tackled from behind but I thought a foul required contact and there was minimal if any. He won the ball cleanly. Admittedly, it would probably look like a foul without the benefit of VAR.

Best to reserve judgement on his abilities until after our match tomorrow however that is a pretty high card count. Just hope he is better than the Newcastle ref.

Why are we so often paranoid about the refs we get ?

Last season we had reasonable cause but this season our reservations haven't been realised.

We've had the rub of the green more often than not.

A team that uses the ref. as an excuse when they lose needs often to look more closely at how well they didn't play.

Having said that playing Luka is an occupational risk these days given his clumsy interceptions and late tackles.
