Not having read any of the Match Thread my view of a very entertaining away day at Burnley was that neither side deserved to lose. We dominated the first half and Burnley were unable to cope with our movement . Equally we were unable to cope with their set pieces. In the second half they worked us out and generally controlled the game . In my view Wilf Jordan and Connor did not have their best games. Milo did well coming in for Jimmy Mac. and Olise is going to be a major star. It was like Burnley worked out how we play and nullified us in the second half. This may be a trend as other teams work us out as the season progresses.. A well earned point COYP

Still on route home but Generally agree. An absolute crazy 1st half of new football school vs old school. We had the quality but they physically wore us down. More concerned tonight by the issues off pitch . We saw 2 fights between Palace fans in the ground today and some shocking scenes as Palace fans went into pitch battles with each other at Euston tonight with some people glassed …. God knows where this came from today and we need to sort our s*** out and stick together.

If identified they should be banned, drunken idiots totally letting the club down.As the previous poster has mentioned they were fighting in the Cricket Club before the match, on the train between Burnley and Preston then much worse on the platform at Euston, smashed bottles all over the platform and one bloodied bloke looking in a bad way.Fortunately BT Police were present in numbers having been probably been given the tip by their counterparts in Preston, had they not been there I dread to think what may have happened. Whoever they are they're nothing more than a disgrace to the club. As one of the older generation that regularly attends away matches I'm seriously thinking of not bothering, I go to watch a support my club, these so called fans are ruining what Palace as a club is all about.

Unusual for so many younger lads to travel to such a far away unglamorous trip. Mix in hours drinking on the trains, and 2.50 a pint in the cricket club. Demographic was more like the away end at the amex. I guess with Palace actually playing watchable exciting stuff these days its attractive to more fans. Won't see most of them on a Tuesday night in Leeds.

Lot more young wannabe hard men at the game today 3 pint heroes.Have to say stewards pretty poor as each time we scored all folks within vicinity of the wannabes got covered with lager as plastic glasses thrown everywhere. Also 2/3 times I went to toilets (I'm getting on a bit)young lads coming out of toilets in twos I presume after some powder(is beer allowed in stands ?)

A quite respected admin poster on another site said it was between "a certain group in black & an estate north of the borough". He believed it was pre-arranged. This is idiotic, have a ruck, BUT, not by dragging the good name of our club through the gutter. Do it elsewhere not on an away matchday. Mindless numbnuts.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

It certainly wasn't the fanatics because they were on a coach not the trains and I talked to a few of them in the services on the way home. Very strange mood yesterday and the stories of the train and at Euston sound awful

The Sporting Events (Control of Alcohol etc.) Act 1985 prevents, amongst other things: The consumption of alcohol within view of the playing area.

I also heard about fighting between two factions of fans.

Not a prude and if people want to waste their money on shoving white stuff up their noses and then kicking each other then I guess thats their business.

However, not nice when fans just out for a good day watching football get caught up in it.

Brings shame on the whole club.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

There is no place for this in our club. Unfortunately a long journey, cheap booze and marching powder all contributed to fuel these idiots. I witnessed numerous fights between Palace fans inside the ground. Unbelievable really. Fortunately my wife wasn’t there yesterday as she would be saying no more away days. As you say I don’t expect to see them at Leeds but for the first time since the 80’s this kind of crap is now a consideration again - and from your own fans. WTF.
