I thought it easier to give this CONservative government their own incompetence thread as starting a couple of new ones every day is time consuming. We all know we have an ongoing problem protecting our borders, and we only have a certain amount of space to help genuine refugees(Yorkshire seems quite underpopulated and vast by the way home secretary)! The problem is, some of these arriving on crafts in Kent are not genuine, and have to be returned somewhere, but as they have no documentation, where? The CONservative home secretary, Priti Patel, decided that they can be shipped off to Rwanda and Albania, in a processing holding center. There is one slight fault with this plan, the Albanian government know nothing about it, and haven"t even spoken to Priti and the CONservative government !I have no idea if the Rwandan government have spoken to her either! This was a done and dusted plan, that was talked about in recent days, but was make believe!Surely spouting lie after lie is gross incompetence by our CONservative government, knowing they are just placating the two jobs CONservative mp for Dover and her ilk, let alone the people of the uk. I feel this is proof thjat Priti , the home secretary, one of the biggest jobs in the country, has a second job, as an author! She specialises in writing fairytales and fantasys, or third job, as a stand up comedian! Rumour has it, her next big idea, is to contact Elon Musk and see about using his rockets to transport the failed asylum seekers to an oven ready, state of the art, world beating, Holding centre on the moon!

It was mind-boggling to see the Justice Secretary fronting this latest Home Secretarial fantasy. They really do live on an alternative planet, where international laws do not apply them and they can use other countries as a dumping ground as though it was the height of the British Empire's slave trade. Previous ministers tory and labour have cottoned onto this nonsense as well but you can see they are pitching this to the UKs Dad's Army brexit voting public for whom any kind of reasoning is wasted.

Yes, apparently, bungle thinks its a great idea to take them to a state of the art, world beating, holding center on the moon, and lucky for us, he has a lot of family and contacts who know how to make it happen! It may cost a few, or tens, maybe hundreds, of billions, but they have sold it to him and in a national crisis, we would be silly not to bite their hands off- they might go to America with the idea if we don"t !

No Hrolf, but I have had an approach by the CONservatives to keep me on a retainer, cash in hand of course! Haha. I'm all for sniffing out corruption, but I feel like that is not your real agenda. The whole world is corrupt mate. It starts in the shadows where the real power lies and filters down. Politicians are just elected employees. Here today, gone tomorrow, as someone once said.

Yeah, I wouldn"t mind a conservative gov in if they were playing by the rules, but its the constant lining of the pockets that does me, I would be doing the same if it was Blair in, but its the nicking, rule breaking, lying that this lot have taken to a new level , but its all over, as you said.

If you want real change put in at local level people who have no attachment to a party and are normal people (it may be a change for the worst but it will be a change) People do not take self responsibility as well they keep putting these people in and making bad choices for example Brexit (If you look at the stats for why people voted to leave they are for dumb reasons like too many foreigners or nhs funding) People need to open their minds and stop listening to the likes of the media put in some effort to see what the truth is.

Clearly the country would be in a far better position if they had chosen Jeremy Corbyn. Now it is reaping the cost, and to a certain extent it serves them right.

I know what you mean on all points, it couldn"t be any worse off for sure, but people didn"t trust him, due to the papers, so put their trust in,,,,errrr,,,,boris!

The country, and also the people, have lost credibility as a result of their misplaced faith in dishonest Johnson. There will be scraps on offer from the EU, but nothing meaningful, as that would require the trust we used to have.
