Our news section says that we will be without - Zaha, Schlupp, Kouyate and Ayew in January.
That is going to hurt us big time even if Eze is back and fit.
A couple of injuries during that period or any of those players getting knocked whilst out there will not do our season any favours at all!

Only wilf will be a big miss out of that lot, and even he isn't the worst player to be without like it once was,

I think Wilf and PV have stated this was not correct. However I said some time ago I do not think Wilf will go

Not sure Schluppy will be picked to go, in the last 2 rounds of African WC Qualifying i dont think he has even featured in any matchday squads.

As for Wilf, it was made clear that all the reports were 'twisted' to suit narratives. He did however feel sick a few times upon return.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

This, for me is the real fear. If we have a fully fit squad through AFCON then we can cope. The following line-up looks OK to me:

Guaita

Ward
Andersen
Guehi
Mitchell

Luka or Hughes
Gallagher
McArthur or Eze

Olise
Benteke
Edouard

It even has a couple of options in midfield. However, if we were to lose one of the front 3 or a central defender, we could struggle.

I thought the denial was that he was not homesick, but comes home sick - which has been proven 2or 3 times after he has been away.

Not as big a deal as it would have been last season. We can lose Zaha for a couple of games and it wont leave us blunted.

Not particularly worried any more.

Olise down the right, Eze down the left, Edouard down the middle with Gallagher and perm any two from four behind them and that will trouble most PL teams. We really do have a bit of strength in depth now, with youngsters like JRS knocking on the door too.

For the first time in about 4 years I am not that concerned if Zaha is out of the team whilst recognising that we are a better side when he is on his game.

It's a shame to lose any players but if Wilf has decided to stay home, losing Schlupp, Kouyate and Ayew wont be the end of the world.

Just a shame that the ACN matches aren't scheduled for the same time as other internationals.

It was indeed. Sorry I meant the denial was that he didn’t want to be considered, as stated by the manager

its only two league matches to the final, for the Seaweed and Liverpool, only Wilf will be a big miss, although Kouyate is playing well, Olise and Rak-Sakyi for a couple of games
