Two people were stabbed last evening in Brentford, one was 80 year old Betty Walsh, a life long Brentford fan, buying her kebab for her tea. The knifeman, in his 30"s , had stabbed her, and a real hero came to her aid , but was also stabbed, fatally! This was 20 year old Ali Abucar Ali, a true hero, r.i.p Ali!

Yeah, I can think of a solution where Betty wouldn't have been stabbed and Ali wouldn't have had to step in either. Still, carry on singing 'imagine'.....hell it's about as realistic an approach as my solution is of happening....I might as well join in with you.

There were pockets of poverty, sure, but random violence was relatively quite rare.

Firstly, RIP to the victim and the brave man who stepped in. Any kind of public act of valour needs acknowledging. But this thread is rather timely. Heard an advert on the radio today. 'Ask me'. A young black girl. Explaining how she saved somebody's life using some kind of special coat. How she is trained in first aid and is encouraging others to do similar, so they can help stab victims. 'Ask me'. Not about how to stop it but merely how we can help out with the consequences. A direct sign of our societies utter surrender to violent crime and a political unwillingness in London to deal with. 'Just one of those things'. Right?

Do we actually know the race of the culprit (sounds like it from the comments?) and if it means something is he's black or Asian, does it also mean something is he's white?

He wasn't stabbed to death he just "passed away", just ask Mayor Khan. Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of it about.

When it's 'a man' it is someone from a minority. If we knew the name, address and telephone number of the attacker, it is a white male. That seems to be the rule of thumb these days. Can't exactly see why.

Can't exactly see why. The think the truth is somewhere in between, dependent on politics, and that on here if the stabber is black or muslim it means something profound and if he's white it turns into a ghost town . I only asked as it seemed implied that the stabber definitely isn't white. Possibly in line with what you say above, people have deduced it from the crime and tone of the coverage.

Edited by BlueJay (14 Nov 2021 1.51pm) Race or whatever you'd think that a major would be doing something about the ridiculous levels of knife crime.

Yep and even more 'disappointing' for a specific 'core' on here is that the guy who saved the life of the unfortunate elderly woman is the exact 'profile' they would associate by default as the actual perpetrator. This really must have cause some massive frustrations within this 'core' who still fail to admit they've been proven wrong yet again but simply won't admit it. If it was the other way around as you say, this thread would have been hundreds of comments long with all sorts if capital punishment being demanded and borders to be closed etc. Lots and lots of humble pie being eaten this weekend by the 'core' but will they admit that? Nah, of course not. Oh yeah, I suppose I forgot the standard Edited by Orange1290 (14 Nov 2021 3.19pm)
