Afternoon all.

Without getting too carried away by the current way things are going, does anybody else think we should give the cup a really good go this year?

Or do we think that PV will focus on stability/climbing then league?

To be honest I think we could have a great go at the cup.

Yes absolutely, although I'm always keen for a cup run.

If we've reached 25 points by the halfway point, which I'm confident we will, it would take something spectacular to get relegated.

I'd much rather we put everything into the Cup and finished 13th compared to not having a go and finishing 8th. The way we're playing and with a bit of luck in the draw, I think we're genuine contenders. Would get us into Europe too.

Indeed! I would take fourth from bottom and an fa cup anytime, we got the squad right, just need the luck of the draw!

I really hope PV plays a full strength side, it’s probably our best chance of silver ware. We currently have a side good enough to have a strong cup run, especially as a few side don’t seem that bothered.

Leicester committed to it last year and finished up winners, we could certainly do the same

It has always been my dream to see Palace win the FA cup. When I was a kid my uncle used to take me to Selhurst and he always used to laugh at me when I said one day we would win it.

Now 59 years later I would love it if I could see the players at Wembley lift the fa cup in my lifetime.

Wouldn't it be great to win footballs most historic trophy!

Been to Anfield twice seen 14 goals and my team haven't scored any

I would die a happy man

I'm quietly confident we will have a good run in the cup. 66/1 odds of us winning it. Well worth a punt on those odds! That's us out then first round away to Torquay!

I remember the 2016 cup final. Watched it on television. As the game progressed into the 2nd half and then extra time I was sure Palace was going to win. You could see the energy slowly switch in Palace's favor. United just got lucky. We had that game won. By all means lets go for it this year.

I don't disagree with the sentiment, but think PV will be under some pressure to give some game time to those potential first-teamers who haven't seen a great deal of action (or at least full games) this season. Thinking:

Butland

Clyne Tomkins Kelly Riedewald

Hughes Milvojevic Schlupp

Olise Mateta (is he still here?) Eze

That is not a team to go on a cup run. Make some changes sure, but you have swapped out every single starting player.
