considering any old baddie can seemingly invest & own a football club. What about barring bad-boys from the promised Land ? playing at the top table of World Football. Players earning more per month than many people see in a lifetime. many other careers are off limits to crooks, thugs, thieves & baddies. Accounting, childcare, teaching, doctors etc. Surely it would send the right message to the youth walking our streets. Misbehave and you will never play at the top level ?
How many stab-stabby boys in our newspapers are described as 'a promising young footballer' ? and still they get into trouble with the Law. Often with no fear of the cops. So how about instilling some fear of career-censure ? The decision to ban bad-boys would need to be taken at the level of the FA. Because most football managers would sign Beelzebub himself if he promised a good performance on the pitch. And of course the sanctions could be graded according to the crime : Rape, murder, GBH......banned. Drink driving, burglary.........a heavy tax on their earnings Discuss Edited by PalazioVecchio (28 Oct 2021 12.16pm)

In principle I agree. Anyone guilty of sexual offences should not be allowed a professional football career, they could not be a teacher or a doctor etc. Other offences no, e.g. drugs, night club fights are a different level we all make mistakes.
