Surely Olise showed enough against Leicester to start ahead of Ayew. That is a terrible call by PV. Ayew has looked as sharp as a spoon this season

Agreed... We lose an exciting winger in Wilf... You would think we would replace him with an exciting winger in Olise.

Instead we replace him with Benteke and continue to start Ayew.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

This match requires us to defend strongly. Ayew will support Ward, whereas Olise isn’t yet up to that. He will be a great sub to bring on when Arsenal have tired. This will be a tough match, and even more so without Zaha. Let’s hope we can defend better than we did against Leicester.

Playing 3 strikers in a front 3 with olise on the bench is a poor decision. Noneof the 3 are wingers so our play will end up being direct through the centre so getting anywhere near the box is going to be tough let alone having a shot

Olise will get on at some point.

But maybe makes sense to just start with the old head who, whilst he wont pull up any trees, will do a job.

The worry for me is Benteke, our new style is very dependant on a high press, and that guy cant be arsed with it.

Also disappointing not to see Rak Saki on the bench

I’m not sure you get to tell Patrick Vieria he’s made a terrible call. Forgive us for trusting his insights over yours.

Spot on PC. If people would listen to what Vieira says, they would know that he doesn't see Olise as quite ready yet to start. Ayew will be important in checking Tierney et al. bombing down our right flank.

40 minutes into MNF and 20 minutes until kick off and Sky still not spoken about us... Still rattling on about Man Utd.

Not going to lie disappointed to see Tekkers and Ayew starting, especially with Wilf out.

Am hoping I will feel PV has proved me wrong by the end of the match!

Maybe...just maybe this is a tactical move on PV's part. At Nice he used Dolberg as a focus of attacks and got wingers to cut in and feed off Dolbergs lay-offs. Tekkers to play with his back to goal and lay off to on-running Ayew and Edouard?
