Have we got any intentions of having another Eagle flying at Selhurst? I think it makes us unique and it'd quirky having our own Eagle and since Kayla sadly left us I think we should have a new Eagle..

I asked about this on here months ago and received little or no reaction as I recall. Although I no longer go to Selhurst I'd love to think there was a Kayla Mk2 flying from end to end before kick off. The Eagle is our trademark and the TV companies, as well as the fans, loved it.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

It made us unique and it would be marvellous if a new Kayla could be trained as a replacement. Assuming a suitable 'eaglet' can be found I would be happy to chip in a modest sum from my pension to help with training.

It would be nice to get back. The kids were fascinated by it. I thought Parish would be on it - but it's been a while. I hope we still help the bird sanctuary.

It was unique in England. Edited by Spiderman (30 Sep 2021 6.26pm)

I too would like to see this tradition upheld. I would rather we used Eagle Heights again which is where Kayla came from I believe. They would appreciate a regular fee from Mr Parish, and the money would help towards the good work they do.

He apparently has taken the club to his heart and loves everything about us. He may not be aware of Kayla, given the US connection with Eagles might be worth a punt. I believe he is on social media

A fiver a year on a ST price would be roughly 100k. I'm sure most wouldn't object. Maybe a free visit to Eagle heights thrown in. People in the gate will then spend as well. Win win.
