Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

First off, this ITV series has been compelling. Martin Clunes does better than I expect in a serious role. But, the subject of the investigation, Delroy Grant, was a despicable person for sure.

My old Mother-in-law lived in a ground floor flat in Shortlands during the time Grant was committing his crimes. One day during the summer, she had a window open and, hearing a noise from her bedroom, went to investigate. 'A huge black man' stood there and she screamed at him to 'get out of my house'. Fortunately for her he scarpered sharpish, but, looking back, we believe her intruder that day may well have been Grant. She never reported the incident because she didn't want to make a fuss.

A very nasty Man, but all credit to the DCI Colin Sutton who is portrayed by Clunes.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I was caught in unexpected traffic by the crown pub, west wickham, when he was still at his work.
the police were looking for him, specifically, & were stopping cars.
several victims in the shirley area.
a strange & grim case.

Because there's a huge correlation between a traumatic upbringing and your ability to function as an adult.

Yes, credit indeed! These series have been on tv a lot lately, all watchable. Funny how its the back up inquiry that usually nets the suspect, it happened in the Stephen Lawrence case, the Rachel Nickel case, and my favourite of the recent programmes, the Jeremy Bamber case!

Possibly that the people who have been working on the case long term eventually end up not being able to see the wood for the trees, as it were; they get bogged down with too much detail.

A fresh pair of eyes, and a different approach can often spot a pattern or some recurring details over the bigger picture that may otherwise have been overlooked or dismissed.

The drama Manhunt starring Martin Clunes was very good.Clunes went to Royal Russell School (local flavour).

Delroy Grant

Peter Sutcliffe

9/11

in all cases the authorities ignored clear and direct evidence (or testimony) pointing at the perpetrators.

I reckon all institutions have myopia.

Out of interest, why would there be an outcry if he is deported? Is he a British citizen or not?
