Wanted: man to stand on back post

What is this modern day mania for defending corners without having a defender on the back post ? It cost us another goal today.
All teams seem to do it. With keepers preferring to push the ball away rather than wear gloves that actually allow you to catch the ball there are more and more corners conceded.
Its a basic requirement for defending corners and will cost us dear this season.

It looks to me that we've been working more on set pieces. Gallagher seems to have decent delivery. We still clearly have more work to do. By my reckoning we've already conceded two direct from set pieces, could be more.

under RH we were pretty hopeless at both ends when dealing with corners - conceded too many and didn't score enough.

Just being more organised should hopefully save maybe 5 goals a season and potentially score 2 or 3 more. Thus far PV doesn't seem to have improved things. Quite disappointing
