I'm a little curious.
Why were there quite a lot of empty seats at the Spurs game , where you would normally expect such a match to be sold out ?
And also ,why was there no published attendance figure ?

Firstly, it's possible that some people were put off by the ticketing fiasco.

Secondly, there were major disruptions to main line services passing through Purley and Croydon on Saturday.

Thirdly, perhaps a few people are still not comfortable mixing in large crowds.

Or fourthly, Palace want to hide the fact that fans did not get their tickets, and weren't confident they would be able to get in to the ground anyway.

A lot of the empty seats were on the right of the Main Stand, suggesting that they were not season tickets.

Yes, I noticed the same thing at the Brentford game, same place.

....and Spurs fans did not want to see a right thrashing.

Although not unique to Palace, it is a worry that there are so many empty seats. Although a lot of them are restricted view so I can't really blame people for not wanting to sit there!

Hopefully attractive football, and a few points, will draw people back again.

Serves them right. I had a season ticket in one of those restricted view seats for a couple of years, didn"t bother me. Until I went to the ticket office to renew it with a wad of cash, they had put it up by 60% ! I decided not to bother and haven"t been to a game since, shame really, but greed is greed, as it says on the ticket, its restricted view!

There were a lot of empty seats in the Arthur as well.

Palace always make buying tickets difficult but maybe COVID is having an effect.

I suspect that there are some non restrictive view tickets left if you want to go for one of those.
