I feel we have the players but the tactics are So damn cautious. They are tedious and frustrating to watch.

They have the odd moments of urgency but not nearly enough.

The must get forward rapidly.

England were poor, as said previously committed nobody in the box going forward…terribly boring to watch. Schoolboy defending in added time gave Poland a worthy equaliser.

Same old Southgate, no plan B. He doesn’t know how to change the game. Hope to be proved wrong but England will never win a major tournament under Southgate in the same way Man Utd won’t under Solskjaer.

Players are 10/10, GS is a 6/10. Wonder strike from Kane should have been enough against a fairly average team. Zero substitutes is astonishing. Poland had more energy at the end.

1-1 is what I predicted which is an ok result in the context of the group, but once again the manner was disappointing. We’ll get to the semi’s in Qatar and he’ll be lauded as a hero again.

I suppose getting to the euro final and getting a draw in Poland after the last two wins I should be a bit more positive. However, we could have won that final if we hadn’t used the young players to take those penalties so early in that shootout. Then tonight it was crying out for Southgate to bring on subs to freshen up the last 20 minutes. We might even have got a second? Instead Poland brought on subs and tore into us in the final minutes. We have the players, but do we have a good enough manager? I think not!
