Great signing. Where does that leave Benteke ?

Big Ben with be his strike partner. Think if the transfer comes off we will see a great pairing as I think they would compliment each other.

Don't want to rain on your parade but I have watched this guy from when he first joined Celtic right through to present day. He started well and kept good form for a season or so and then things got a bit patchy. Like Zaha he gets the huff too easily and drops down a gear or two. Since he made it clear that he wanted to leave he has looked like a petulant teenager as nobody put in offer that tempted Celtic. Last season and this season he has got lazier appears disinterested and his finishing sloppier by the week. Most of my opinion comes from televised matches but seen him live quite a bit too. The past few months his attitude has stunk and I can't see how he would be worth the fee plus his ridiculous wage demands.

Having said all that, like most folk on here, if he does join us I hope he proves me to be wrong in my assessment/

The Edouard of two years ago would have been out of our reach so we just have to hope we get that version but at a relative bargain price. I'm excited.

There’s some talk on the Celtic boards that the Covid he had last year has affected him - others on there think that’s an excuse.
Let’s hope a French manager and coach can help him get back to what he was.
