Very sad! I'll be playing a few of their albums over the coming week as my own little tribute.

One of the greatest drummers of all time no doubt. RIP
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

A terrific drummer. Mr reliable for the Stones - always looked like he wanted to be anywhere else but on stage with that bunch of reprobates. But, boy did he keep the beat for them. Only ever saw them live on stage once. A great evening at Wallington Public Hall in the 60s, cost 7/6d to get in. RIP Charlie.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

With their lifestyles it's amazing he got to this age really. He certainly lived a life of note. RIP Charlie!

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Devastating news. My heart goes out to his family, friends and fans everywhere. For me personally, while I'm very sad to learn that my favourite drummer has gone, I'm so deeply grateful for the contribution he made to music over many decades and the memories that will always remain. Miss You, Charlie.
