Fully agree, once Luca is back we will have that steel, what we need is creativity, time on the ball,vision, precision passing and the "quarterback' thinking. Scott Banks has all the material to develop into that kind of player. Last one we had like that was Cabaye.

He is being signed as a DM who can pass, of course we need him. I am a big fan of Scott Banks but no way is he ready for PL

We must stop agreeing, Spider! It's getting boring. After Kouyate's woeful first half performance, I looked at the bench and thought, who's going to be better? The only possible option was Jairo and I pictured him being swarmed over by eager Brentford attackers. Fortunately, Kouyate improved in the second half, but I don't fancy him in that role for the rest of the season and as I said earlier (somewhere), unless we can see a renewed Luka return, Hughes will be the better option as DM.

To start with we need someone who can pass the ball. Its no good just winning the tackle and passing it straight back to the opposition Andersen has started to show everyone how it should be done!
Once again yesterday we struggled to string together more than 3 passes going forwards before possession was lost.
It's a lot easier to keep passing it sideways and backwards which is why we keep doing it! But it doesn't get up the other end of the park!

Yes Kouyate can tackle but his distribution is woeful. Jairo's isn't great and Luca's wasn't much better either.
I think Hughes will fit in very well and is exactly what we need at the moment!

We will have flair with Olise and Eze. We need a DM who can play the ball
