Someone on here the other day mentioned an item of memorabilia he'd found in his loft. Sorry, can't remember who it was or what it was. I've just been up in mine looking for.....well, it doesn't matter what I was looking for.....but I uncovered my Sinclair Spectrum complete with some old games and tape deck to play them on. I'd forgotten I still had that stuff. Regret to say my loft acts as a dumping ground, but unfortunately there are no hidden masterpieces up there gathering dust. At least I don't think so. So, what's in your loft?
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

So, what's in your loft? Firstly you have a valuable item which could garner a few quid. Secondly in mine loads of crap. I thought this was standard

You could only make a movie of an artist painting in the former.

Hundreds of football programmes dating from the 1940's collected for my retirement fund, along with annuals from when I was a kid. Worth peanuts, but I can't chuck them for some reason. I tried handing them down to my son, but he more or less told me to stick 'em where the son don't shine. Oh, and enough Christmas decorations to kit out the entire street.

I have a b'stard wasp nest up there. I did look for the nest earlier in the year (when they are less active in colder months), but didn't see anything obvious. I'm a bit too scared to go up the ladder now, in case a massive swarm of wasps flies down into the house, else a giant mutant wasp head appears above me, pincers ready to cut my head off. Think I used to have some cardboard boxes filled with CD's, DVD's and some old photo's. All redundant in todays modern age.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

The big question is have you tried the Spectrum? And what games do you have? I sold mine for 180 I think but miss it. They are probably a bit more now. I bought a retrocade with all games on it, which also autosaves but I don't find it as satisfying.

The little answer is - No. Do you think it's knackered through lack of use? Can't remember the games although some were kids simple learning games my daughter played although I do recall an alien shooter that was fun. I've just had a look on ebay and all I can say ASCPFC, is that you did well to get £180 for yours.
