I hope this is true and we go back and get the deal done. Brooks has always looked like a player who wants to get on the ball and make things happen. With only a year left on his contract we might be able to get him for less than the 40m being bandied about when Bournemouth were relegated.

Sorry, I probably wasn't clear, I didn't mean spend 40m on him. That was in reference to prices being quoted when they went down. If we could get him for 10-15m then I think he could be a very useful player. He did play 35 games last season and has played both games this season, so he obviously isn't a crock.

I'd forgotten all about him but a season or two ago he was all the rage and being linked with some big clubs. Very decent player assuming he hasn't regressed.

Bournemouth playing hardball on this. I think we should work harder on other wide men. He's seemed off the boil recently anyhow. The big clubs have stopped circling. They're still asking for 40m, if we knock them down, it's still pricey.
