If Townsend is going I think we should be going for someone like Lookman. Still young and looks deadly running at players and will make good competion for when Eze is back and we have the choice out of Zaha, Eze, Olise and potentially Lookman. Thoughts? Edited by Palace Passion (14 Jul 2021 5.46pm)

If we can persuade Townsend on the left wing then him above Lookman but it sounds as if that bus has gone now. Rak-Sakyi for me at least for a try out in the pre-season games. We are missing Eze already though.
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Another article relating to AL. If I remember correctly we were after Lookman when he was at Charlton and he turned us down to goto Everton, which lets face it hasn't gone well at all. Would he come here ? Or does he have something against us after representing Charlton ? One is for certain, don't let him near the penalty spot, we already have an appalling penalty taker in Benteke. We might need to find a new one though, if Luka is not 1st choice anymore.

At a reasonable price of £15m or less I would say Lookman would be good value. Definitely an upgrade on Townsend in my view.
