FPL is gearing up for 2021/22 and is now ready to accept entries for the forthcoming season. Once again, any interested HOLers are welcome to join our own Holmesdaleship head-to-head league using the above code.

As usual, a maximum of 20 people will be able to enter the league this season with each person’s FPL team playing a head-to-head match against another every week. The results will be determined by the FPL Gameweek points scored by the actual players selected, with points for wins and draws being awarded accordingly just as they would be in the Premier League itself.

The league will operate on a round robin basis throughout the whole of the 2021/22 Premier League season, which is due to kick-off on Friday, 13 August 2021. No knockout rounds will be involved.

All of the FPL rules, including full details on how points are scored by each player, can be found on the official Premier League website via the above link.

Entry is as always FREE of charge, and though there are no cash prizes at stake there are still bragging rights to be won. There will also be three points up for grabs every week, so you will always have at least something to play for from the start of the season right to the very end.

Whether you have played before or are thinking about giving it a go for the first time, it would be fantastic to have you on board. While any HOL members are welcome to join, please keep in mind that places are limited to 20 so be sure to enter your team as soon as you can to avoid missing out.

Thank you to all who have decided to join this year. It's great to see a number of new names among those taking part, so a special welcome to you if this is your first time. I'm sure you'll enjoy the head-to-head format and the challenge of chasing those three points every week.

For those more seasoned campaigners who have come back for another go, a very warm welcome to all of you too. It's nice to see your enthusiasm and I'm genuinely thankful for your continued interest.

As places in the league are limited to 20, some are unfortunately bound to miss out on joining, so commiserations to those who have this time. However, there are many alternative leagues to join on the FPL site, one of which has been set up by fellow HOLer, Portuguese [Link] . I'm sure there will be room for everyone in his classic league and, like me, he'll appreciate your support too.

Hi antman, thanks for the message and sorry I missed it until just now.

I'm sorry too to see that you missed out on joining the league this year. I hate to see others miss out and am sure you won't be the only one.

However, you've given me an idea! I'd like to try a head-to-head league with a cup competition, so have set up a new 16 team one with three cup rounds. I don't know how well it will work or whether there'll be enough time to fill it with only a day to go, but let's see how far we get!

So for anyone here who wants to join antman and me in this new league, you're more than welcome!
