It's that time again and, do you know, I really do think that this could be Tim's year.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

I lost interest quite a few years ago despite my parents having debenture seats.

I was put off the women's game by all the grunting and last week switched the TV on in the afternoon twice to see the same foreign female playing who actually grunted loudly before she hit the ball

Anabel Croft used to be nice to watch. This Boulter looks pretty good to me. Definitely would..... like to see her do well.

Katie Swan yesterday made me wish I was about 45 years younger

Did anyone see GB teenager Emma Raducanu play her 3rd round match yesterday? The best tennis I've seen from a GB female for years; she progressed fairly comfortably into the last 16.

She seems to have come from 'nowhere'. I read that her tennis prize money to date is £20k. Well she's already guaranteed £181k from Wimbledon.

Local girl too, coached by Andy Murray's father in law.

I watched Raducanu win her match yesterday. She played some wonderful tennis and looked very confident at her first Wimbledon.

A very bright personality and so lovely to see how much she enjoyed the occasion. Her post match interview was a delight.

Hope she continues to do well, gets good A Level results and stays 'grounded'.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
