On Talkshyte Radio they’ve just said a picture is circulating of Christian being carried off the pitch on a stretcher with his eyes open and his hand on his head. There’s hope. Ollie’s Dad, Ash

Very sad.

Why couldn't they let his wife on the pitch.

I echo these sentiments.
He has been taken to hospital and stabilised and my prayers go out for him and his family.

Some positive news after what was a shocking situation.

The BBC should have cut the feed. They just traumatized half of Europe by showing that.

Absolutely dreadful scenes.

I was watching in Germany where the feed also continued way over what I thought was necessary.

Some very shocking scenes. Some positive news emerging and hopefully that continues. All the best to him and his family.

Absolutely horrific to see and really thought he’d died. Such good news to see that he’s stabilised. Thoughts with his family.

He did die on the pitch. His own player started cpr which could well be the difference. The ref didn't mess around either. 3 seconds and the medics were on the pitch. As you say horrific to see but the news is better now. Good luck Christian.
