Well that’s it for another season and I for one am glad to see the back of it! Predictable top four in the PL. Groundhog Day at Palace. A Champions League Final where no one apart for Chelski and Citeh fans gave a flying f**k who won. The “big six” showing their true colours. At least Leicester and Villarreal did something to break the monotony! In terms of the top of the league we learned that Russian and Arab billionaires will do whatever they can to win. For them it’s all about prestige while Yankee owners are in it for the money. Will anything change with this review of the game? I doubt it. Money talks especially these days in Westminster. I guess next season will be different for Palace without Roy. Can’t see us breaking into the top half or qualifying for Europe so likely to end up where we usually end up if we’re lucky or head down to the Championship where we at least get a more level playing field financially. Ah well at least there’s the European Championships to look forward to. Heroic failure in the group stages for Scotland and England lose in the semis after a penalty shootout.

Spare a thought for the poor Hotel Manager when he heard one of the teams would be staying at his place. "Please let it be Germany or Spain we need the income." "Damn it's Scotland, okay staff don't bother changing the sheets they'll be gone in a week."

And we’re welcomed all over Europe unlike Engerlund fans.

There’s an old Chinese proverb that says: “He who is sh*te and knows he is sh*te is a wise man who supports Scotland but he who is sh•te but thinks he is the best team in Europe he is an England fan and forever will be disappointed”

We know were sh1te alright. BUT England are now the holders of the most underperforming nation title since Spain's achievements of the last 15 years.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

I don't fancy us at all for the Euros either, we'll get found out, lots of youthful exuberance but not enough footballing knowhow - can see good sides doing what Croatia did to us in 2018, rode the storm then controlled the game and picked us off. Jordan Henderson won't be fit enough, and Rice is too inexperienced to anchor the midfield. It might be between us and the sweaties for third place in the group stage - can see us drawing v the Czechs and Croatia - and everyone will go back to hating Raheem Stirling. Not normally a pessimist but I don't have good vibes about England this time.

Can see the Scot’s beating us and us not qualifying :-( And yes, I’m pleased not having to watch Palace until August. It’s been a grim time watching us for most of this season. I’m sure Covid and not being able to attend has had a lot to do with my not enjoying this season? Let’s hope for entertaining football from us next season, win, draw or losing :-)
