Congrats to the 'bees'.

How do they manage to off-load people like Maupay and Watkins, then bounce back better than before?

It is called 'analytical scouting'.

Basically they believe the scouting system is defective and there are top talents it misses, and that is where they step in.

How is their secret, but it is certainly working.

They also sold Benrahma for a fee that could rise to £25 Mill after buying him for less than £3 Mill.

They decided to get rid of their academy and as a result Tyrick Mitchell came to us.

around 2004/5, Brentford were my local team to my workplace. Went to a few games at Griffin Park, but never managed to drink in all 4 pubs on the corners of the ground before a game. I think my best was 3.

One of the last games I saw they lost a play-off first leg against Swansea. It was raining that evening, and the away terracing had no roof,....but those Welshies were used to the rain.

Hopefully promotion will go some way to paying for Brentford's new ground.

I have a somewhat hazy memory of watching our team play Brentford at Griffin Park in a League cup game back in the 70s.
Tony Burns was in goal and we lost narrowly, however in the return leg we won quite comfortably and went through to the next round.
I was behind the goal at Griffin Park.

I went to those games - I think we lost 1-2 at Griffin Park and then won 5-1 at home

i reckon Brentford will do ok in the Prem, for at least the first 4 or 5 months.

after that, the honeymoon is over.

Brentford's new stadium holds 17,250 supporters and it will be the ground with the lowest capacity in the PL.

Thomas Frank has done a fantastic job at Brentford.

When he succeeded Dean Smith, Brentford were 7th in the Championship. They only won 1 of the first 10 games under Frank and I suspect many thought he would be relieved of his services during this abject run.

Brentford finished 11th that season and since then they have been in 2 play-off finals losing to Fulham last season in extra-time and of course winning today.
