I'm not actually sure if this was serious, but I'll fall for it. LNER apologises for using "such language" because the conductor said "Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and Girls...." One "non-binary" passenger got offended because he/she/they felt left out of such grouping. REALLY?????

Absurd doesn't even begin to describe it.

(If this needs to be merged please do as I wasn't sure which existing thread covered it, although I didn't think it fitted the "new manager" thread. Although thinking about it, there's a manager on LNER looking for a job after using such disgusting language)

The passengers, or customers, or honoured guests, or however they’re referred to should take it in turns to complain on a daily basis about being omitted from any announcements.
“I identify as a wombat and I felt excluded”.
“The announcement said Good Morning and I was having a bad morning. I am offended and outraged”
“I am not a gentle man. I am a violent psychopath”

There are plenty of jobs now where you are ordered not to use boys and girls, men and women, ladies and gentlemen etc. I think my orders on this came a few years ago. I'm surprised people are shocked anymore. Clown world full of clown people. Bring on the Chinese I say, they won't be so tolerant.
