Seems like our European neighbours were right to have doubts on the safety of the Oxford vaccine, their due dilligence seems to have being the correct way to go, it wasn"t just brexit revenge, I hope Boris and Jacob don"t have shares in it, let alone nanny! Under 30"s advised to go with the us or european vaccines, phiser and moderna, they are stopping giving to middle aged people in europe, let alone the under 30"s that we are stopping, or advising! Its probably a lesson to boris, don"t treat eveything as a game, a race out of the blocks, just to look good, do some testing before you release a cure on to the great british public!I"m glad i got the european jab, but it was just good luck! Telling people at risk not to take second dose of Oxford jab right now, but go for the european or american version.Van tan looks like he wants to cry, having to front this tv conference, the lies caught up with him eventually!

19 deaths from 20 million doses - and we still don't know whether they were likely to get a blood clot without the dose. 31% risk of blood clot from the severe form of the disease. You do the arithmetic. Politics/economics feeding off the sort of mass hysteria that causes people to wear masks in the street, or when driving alone in their own car! This is not thalidomide. I have had one AZ dose and will have the second from the same source in June. I suspect there is a higher risk of getting an infection from the needle than getting blood clots; and that doesn't matter which juice they pump you with.

If the chances of death from a blood clot are 1 in a million, people would be mad to tun down the chance of vaccination. However it is their body so it is their choice. I'm quite happy for Canada or Europe not to want to take the risk as this should mean more for the rest of the world, including the UK.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

So basically you’ve much more chance of having a car accident on the way to the vaxx centre. This is an unacceptable risk and I think everyone should be vaxxed in their own homes. What are the government playing at.

Ridiculous. There’s more chance of killing yourself in an accident on the way to get the AZ jab, than the chances of getting a fatal blood clot from the AZ jab. The UK is so far ahead of Europe and well done to Boris for that. If they don’t want AZ then great, more for the UK. They can continue to sit at home worrying about the 0.00001% chance of getting a blood clot whilst covid continues to spiral out of control whilst we can sit in the pubs having a beer talking about how stupid they are.

More research is being done so for now it is a sensible decision. It is possible that they can narrow down the factors that cause it which may or may not include the vaccine. Interestingly the EMA is still saying it can be used. There is no such thing as a safe drug you would not give many over the counter medications to children.

Sure but let's not forget it was the political leaders and EU seniors doing the criticising so Boris and co as politicians were entitled to bite back at them. politician versus politician. In fairness the EMA has been quite measured in it's response but that gets lost amongst the idiotic utterance of President Macron and Madame President Useless.

How many unfortunate people wouldn"t have died of covid, if boris hadn"t gone against european advice and locked down the day after the brexit celebrations in parliament square is a better question ted, instead of telling us to go to the pub and spread around, only to u turn a week later and say stay in or you will be fined!
